celebrate the new
it's a long life
only one last chance
couldn't get much better
do you wanna dance?

The beauty of Rush (2013, dir. Ron Howard) isn’t merely its nostalgic ’70s cinematography or attention to Formula 1 racing, but its beautiful execution of the contrast between the two main characters, the sexy English playboy James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and the methodical Austrian driver Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl). The film doesn’t aim to create a story of good guy vs. bad guy, or push someone the audience should root for. Instead, it attempts to show off the positive and negative qualities of the two leads, and with this formula, successfully delivers two wonderfully human characters.
